Climbing Coaching
We offer personalised coaching sessions tailored to suit your ability and goals.
Between them, our coaches have a wide range of coaching, training and competition experience, enabling them to offer coaching for beginners through to competition climbers. As well as being some of the most experienced, our coaches are also amongst the most qualified, holding a host of industry qualifications. These includes,
- Development Coach Award - Foundation Coach Award -
- Fundamentals 1, 2 & 3 - Physical training 1 & 2 –
- GB Performance Profiling Trained -
Your 60-minute session will be largely based on the coach selecting a wide variety of climbs to test your climbing skills. From watching you climb, your coach will be able to identify weaknesses within your psychological, physical, and technical ability on the wall. Throughout the session you will be given helpful tips, exercises and advice to help you improve. They will give you feedback on how you can continue moving forward with your climbing and at the end of the session you will have personal climbing goals and achievement strategies for you.
After your first session you may wish to continue seeing a coach on a regular or semi-regular basis to work on your personal goals. These can be arranged directly with your coach after your initial session.
Did you know we also run Coaching Clinics?
Designed by our in-house coaching team, our Return to Climbing Coaching Clinics will cover a variety of topics and workshops to not only help get your climbing back on track but also progress. Whether you’re new to sport or wanting to develop those more advanced skills, our Coaching Clinics are for you.

Took 20 explorer scouts here for a 90min session, great time had by all. Staff were lovely, very helpful, attentive and professional. Cafe staff excellent, brought our coffees to the table and their freshly made pizza was delicious. We will be back!
terrific
Went climbing for the first time with my girlfriend the other day; was a little unsure at first as I’m scared of heights, but Tom, who showed us the ropes (pun intended,) was absolutely fantastic! A genuine gem, and the climbing isn’t half bad either!

My kids (ages 7-13) enjoy coming here for both kids’ group sessions or occasionally to climb with me. The climbing experience is great, the staff are always friendly and helpful and there is a good coffee shop from which you can watch. I think the kids’ group sessions are quite expensive for what you get but if you can take your kid’s yourself it’s good value.
