A New Chapter for Parthian: Parthian Climbing Joins The Font Family

 

Following The Font Climbing’s acquisition of Parthian Wandsworth in July, we’re excited to confirm that our Reading and Southampton walls will also be joining The Font family.

For our Wandsworth community, this means the transition into becoming The Font’s London flagship site will continue over the coming weeks. The team is working hard to make sure everything lands smoothly, and we’ll keep you updated as things progress.

For Reading and Southampton, this marks the very start of the journey. Over the coming months, we’ll be working closely with The Font to manage the transition with the care and attention our communities deserve. For now, nothing changes. Both sites will continue to operate exactly as they always have.

We’re sure you’ll have lots of questions, and we’re committed to getting you answers as soon as we can. For now you can ask them here or get in touch with us [via email or link to the contact page]. We wanted to share the news early so we can look ahead together, but there are still some moving parts behind the scenes. More information will be on its way soon.

To everyone whose been a part of Parthian new and old, thank you. Your patience, energy, and support have built Parthian into what it is today, and this new chapter is only possible because of you.

What happens to my membership?

  • Nothing! No changes will be happening initially as we beaver away in the background to complete the transition. We will be in touch soon though with more details. You can sign up to our mailing list here and follow us on socials to be first to know.

Will there be disruption to climbing/access to the centres?

  • It’s business as usual! If anything changes you’ll be the first to know. Make sure you’re signed up to our mailing list here and following us on socials so you don’t miss a thing.

I’ve not been to The Font before, what can I expect?

  • More world class climbing, fun and inclusive atmosphere, endless vibes, HUGE events (we just hosted our biggest event of the year, BRAWL on the Wall which you can watch here). Head over to our website for more information on us and give our socials a gander to see what we’re all about.

Will you be making any changes to the site?

  • We’ll be sprinkling a little of the Font here and there in the form of logos, posters and signage but there’s no big changes planned to the climbing or structure of the site. You’ll be the first to know if anything happens!
