We are excited to announce that we are collaborating with the Scottish Dry-Tooling Club & the BMC to bring you an amazing one-off event! Get ready to See Parthian Manchester transformed into a dry-tooling playground, as the SDTC bring a whole host of tools and creativity to St Benedict’s church!
The Event
Event will run on Saturday 19th Oct from 18:00 – 22:00
If you want to get some practise in before the event starts the SDTC will be running intro session from 16:00 – 17:00 with their experienced coaches.
If you have never been ice climbing or dry tooling before, these sessions are the perfect way to get the most out of the main event later on.
We will then be having a short break between 17:00 & 18:00 while the team from the SDTC do their final bits of set up before the main event.
The café area will still be open during this time, so feel free to relax and grab a coffee & some cake while the team do their thing.
The main event will start at 18:00 and there will be a variety of fun challenges and unique routes for everyone to have a go at, along with live music from Parthian favourites Third Ground Sound.
Additionally during the evening the SDTC will running a series of free workshops that will be run throughout the event.
This will include movement workshops, how to use your tools correctly, and other useful winter skills like how to build v thread anchors.
Please note that during the event everyone in the climbing area will be required to wear a helmet at all times.
If you have your own you are welcome to bring this, otherwise we will have helmets for people to use.
Pricing
The intro sessions are priced at £15 each – spaces are limited here so please book in advance!
A ticket to the main event itself will be £20 – this covers your wall entry along with a fee that goes to the SDTC for all their hard work setting the event up and providing equipment for everyone to use.
