We’re excited to be the first stop on Petzl’s 2024 UK Tour!
Here’s what they have to say about the event:
“Our 4 scheduled ‘Lead & Top Rope’ sessions, run by our Petzl staff, will use the topics covered in our Access Books to introduce a range of best practices and allow attendees to try all of the Petzl belay devices, including the new NEOX.”
It will also allow attendees to ask questions to our team of Petzl experts and our athlete team. Limited to 10 per session.
Topics covered will include:
- Tying in & partner check
- Belaying best practice for all devices
- Clipping
- Errors to avoid
- Lowering
- Retreat
Lead and Top Rope Sessions
You can book onto the following Lead and Top Rope sessions running throughout the afternoon and evening on September the 26th.
16:00 – 17:00 Lead and Top rope session 1
17:15 – 18:15 Lead and Top rope session 2
18:30 – 19:30 Lead and Top rope session 3
19:30 – 20:30 Lead and Top rope session 4
Rolling Drop-In Sessions
There are also a number of drop-in sessions running throughout the day which require no booking to attend. These will cover:
- Quickdraw tips
- Using Lower offs
- Errors to avoid
- Retreating from routes
As if these workshops weren’t enough of an incentive, they will be attended by some absolute climbing legends including Alex Megos, Franco Cookson and Rachel Pearce!
