On Monday 18th December 2017, RCC had the pleasure of welcoming back North Face Athletes James Pearson and Caroline Ciavaldini aka Once Upon a Climb. On arrival James and Caroline did what they do best, said hi then headed for a climb.
After a brief session on the boulders James and Caroline gave an insight into some of their many climbing adventures from across the world, to an audience of academy climbers and keen locals.
The book ‘Climbing Beyond’ is full of amazing photographs across all genres of climbing from locations across the globe. During the talk James and Caroline chose a few images at random and gave a few anecdotal stories associated with the images. From epic trad routes to technical slabs, the book gives an insight into the lives of two very different professional climbers, and aims to inspire others to travel and climb to make their own adventures.
To finish of the evening James and Caroline signed and wrote personal messages in the books for the people who attended. James and Caroline will be back next year to run some coaching workshops so keep an eye on social media.
