The 2024 Youth Climbing Series has been an incredible journey for our 20 talented competitors from Parthian Southampton, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they’ve performed across the four rounds this year. From the very first round to the most recent, each climber has pushed themselves to new heights, achieving far beyond what we had hoped for. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment have been truly inspiring, and they should all be incredibly proud of their accomplishments.
Among the many standout performances, two of our climbers, Poppy and Tilly, earned their place in the highly anticipated finals at Leeds Depot last weekend. At the YCS finals, all members of the Parthian Climbing Squad performed amazingly. Poppy and Tilly from Parthian Southampton gave their absolute best effort, showcasing their incredible progress and determination. We’re thrilled to see how they will continue to develop as they move into the upper tier of their category next year.
Our squad sessions are designed to prepare our climbers for the demands of competition and to help them grow as all-around athletes. We focus on building strength and technique, improving route reading, and developing their competition mindset. Most importantly, we keep the sessions fun and engaging, ensuring that the climbers stay motivated and passionate about their sport. With a balance of hard work and enjoyable training, we’re confident that our team will continue to improve and reach even greater heights in the seasons to come.
